They think, If God would use me, I would of value be; and then they try to find ways to serve Him faithfully. *** So many feel the reason that God their soul did save was so they could work for Him and please Him in this way. They try so hard to serve Him on each and every day; they think, If I'm not serving, my value goes away. *** But if you think your value is based on what you do, then you must know your thinking is based on what's not true. If you don't lift a finger to serve God, you must see, you still can say, "There's no one more valuable than me." *** You're valued as a person whom God, He did create. If you don't serve Him at all, He still thinks you are great. You need to get this concept established in your mind. It is a precious secret I hope that you will find. *** To calculate your value to God, you need to look at Jesus on the cross just to see the price it took, so that the Lord could have you, could have you as His own. It's not your works He longs for, He longs for you alone. *** You may think I am saying, "God wants us not to serve," and that I am mistaken--you say, "She has a nerve!" But if you base your value to God on what you do, your work will be an idol that you will bow down to. *** So is God really saying, "To serve, I don't need you"? Of course not, it's a privilege to serve God, it is true. But it is so important to know God values you, because you're His creation and not for what you do. *** If you're a faithful servant who's served the Lord each day, but now you have an illness and on a sick bed lay, know even though your service has ended suddenly, your value will continue without your works, you see. *** We humans have great value, God sure does value you. He says, "You have more value than many sparrows do." It is your Great Creator who gives your worth to you.
