Do you know what the world would give To have what's willed to you? What Christ has left you in His will, The world is seeking, too. They try, but fail, to get these things To be part of their life; Instead, they seem to end up having Sadness, fear and strife. What's willed to you is called God's fruit, Full-grown fruit that came in When you received the Savior Who has saved you from your sin. Past, present, future-ALL your sins Were on Christ when He died And left you an inheritance; This fruit that dwells inside. This fruit Christ willed lies inside you; Do you know that it's there? Full-grown, a gift Christ left to you, Perhaps you're not aware. You might be trying to imitate This love, this peace, yourself, Neglecting your inheritance; Not claiming your great wealth. You don't earn an inheritance, No, this fruit can't be earned. It is a gift bequeathed to you; This truth I hope you've learned. So just be bold and go to Him, And claim this gift today. Just claim your peace, this full-grown peace, Plus all the rest, I say. In John fifteen Christ tells us how To get this fruit that's free; This fruit, this great inheritance, He left for you and me.
