Believers have this place in them-it's Jesus Christ, you know; and He is there-their secret place-no matter where they go. *** King David sought that secret place and it was his desire to dwell therein all of his life-his words should us inspire: "It's there I'll be when trouble comes," said David, who sure knew what troubles were-he'd had a lot-he'd had more than a few. *** "Within God's shelter I'll be hid, a rock He'll set me on," King David tells us in the Psalms, "a rock to stand upon." That rock is Christ, what better place to stay in faithfully; so that when trouble bothers us, protection there will be. *** Christ is a hiding place to dwell in storms that come our way; a refuge and a fortress strong in which, by faith, we stay. He is a piece of armor strong, a tower that's strong, too. He'll surely be a place that's safe when trouble floods o'er you. *** But God's not just a place to dwell when trouble comes around. When things are going well with us, it's there we should be found. For that's the way to be prepared for hard things down the road; so God can handle them for us and lift our heavy load. *** So dwelling in the secret place each day is what to do, to be prepared for future times, should trouble come to you. God's everlasting arms are underneath you night and day.
