"Walk in the Spirit" is the message given to God's flock. "But what does that mean?" many say, "I do not really see; I want to understand the way my Christian walk should be." *** Well, Paul, in Romans seven, had a great desire to Walk in the Spirit every day so God's will He would do. There was a time he did not know what Spirit walking meant. It was his flesh that he walked in, which made him a sad gent. *** He tried real hard to make his flesh obey the will of God, But that was just impossible, his flesh was just so flawed. He said, "Oh, what a wretch I am," for he failed miserably. He didn't know just how to walk the Christian life, you see. *** Paul got a revelation then, that's when he really saw, He wasn't walking in God's grace but was under the law. He saw just what it really meant the Spirit walk to do: Just walk in grace, not under law, Paul's message is to you. *** If you build up your righteousness by good things that you do, That is called walking in the flesh, the Bible shows it's true. Christ shed His blood so He could give His righteousness to us. "Walk in the Spirit," we will do, when in that blood we trust. *** When God's acceptance you try hard to earn from Him each day, You'll then be walking in the flesh, that's walking the wrong way. "Walk in the Spirit," is believing God's accepted you, Because Christ lives within your heart and you believe it's true. *** If you're a Christian and you think that God is mad at you, You'll have no peace, you can be sure, a flesh walk you will do. The punishment that brought you peace was laid on Christ, it's true. "Walk in God's Spirit" is believing God's not mad at you. *** When you base your relationship with God on how you act, It means you're walking in the flesh, that really is a fact. When you base that relationship on what Christ's done for you, That is the way the Bible says a Spirit walk to do.=20 *** Don't try to live the Christian life in your own strength, you see; For that is walking in the flesh, a burden it will be. Christ wants to live and walk in you, the Bible says it's so. So in the Spirit, as you walk, His life through you will flow. *** Christ lives within God's people and He's made them all brand new, And you're a new creation if Christ's Spirit is in you. If you walk in the Spirit, you will live your life as though You are that new creation, for that's really, really so. *** I hope that walking in the Spirit has become for you, A way of life that you'll just love and that you've seen it's true That walking in the grace of God is the best walk to take.
