We want the Lord to answer us, when we to Him our prayers entrust. We may say that the Lord knows best, but waiting surely is a test. *** To wait for God to do for you something that you yourself can't do; something that's really in God's will; a thing that only He'll fulfill; it puts your faith to quite a test to simply in His promise rest. To wait to see it come to pass, so you can say, "It's come--at last!" *** Sometimes we wait for many years, til after we've shed lots of tears, before we see the answer to a prayer we've felt was overdue. And in the waiting, we might find that doubt comes in to flood our mind; and doubt can push our faith away. "God has forgotten," we might say. *** But God has not forgotten you; oh, please, believe that this is true. When you use faith it will get strong. And even though the time seems long, just be expecting answers to the things you've asked your God to do; the things you know are in His will, and let your heart with faith just fill. *** When you give God a prayer request, He'll answer when the time is best. To hurry God, you need to know, and saying, "God is, oh, so slow," is finding fault with Him, you see. With this I hope you will agree. Just keep on waiting faithfully, til answers to your prayer you see. *** Sometimes I've tried to help God out to bring an answered prayer about, when God, He was the only one who'd do the work I needed done. But that just hindered God, you see, for then I heard Him say to me: "My child, there's nothing I can do til you let go--it's really true." *** God has a perfect time for you, a time that won't be overdue. The answer then will come your way; it'll come on God's appointed day. And then it will be worth it all to know from faith you did not fall. It will be worth the wait, it's true, when you see answers come to you.=20 *** To wait on God makes your heart strong, though you might think it's, oh, so long. An exercise for your dear heart; wait on the Lord, it is your part. Because the Bible says it's so, your spiritual heart so strong will grow. Your heart won't fail you, come what may, as this world goes its evil way. *** Your answered prayer is on the way; yet, maybe there's been a delay. Delay is not denial though; remember that, for it is so. When faith is tried by a delay, let praises from your mouth just say: "I know that God will answer me; His timing's best, I'll surely see." *** Don't let your faith come to an end; your answer's just around the bend. It's surely on its way to you; you soon will see that this is true. It's faith that pleases God, you know, and when you wait, so strong you'll grow. I find it’s when we have to wait
upon the Lord--oh, this we hate.
We want the Lord to answer us,
when we to Him our prayers entrust.
We may say that the Lord knows best,

something that’s really in God’s = will;
a thing that only He’ll fulfill;
