We want them all to come to Christ before the midnight hour. *** So naturally we make our plans to win the lost real fast, To sow the gospel more and more than we have in the past. But you would really be surprised to hear the Lord say, "No! Draw near to Me and listen up, I want you to go slow." *** "Go slow, my Lord, what do you mean? That makes no sense at all. So many are without Your Son, they need to hear Your call!" But God says there's a better way, a way that is a rest; If you slow down, you'll reach the world in ways that are His best. *** We need to get alone with God so we can hear His voice; So we can hear what His plans are, then we can make a choice To rush around and try to save the world in our own way, Or take our marching orders from the Lord in this last day. *** If you rush out to save the world with plans that you have made, There are those that you'll win to Christ, yes, people will get saved. But slowing down and hearing God, it really brings you rest; Then He will do His work through you--this is the way that's best. *** So just be willing to slow down and wait upon the Lord. Deny that natural urge to rush and listen for His word. Then you and God will be in tune and He will set the pace.
