It's offering Him a sacrifice, one that our Lord does love. It really seems ridiculous to praise the Lord above, When things aren't going well down here, but our God, He does love To hear your praises when life's dark and things are really tough. Our praises are acceptable when life is very rough. I know it makes no sense at all to praise the Lord above, When our life here is miserable and we don't sense His love. But, somehow, when we praise the Lord, there is a great release; His power comes into our life, and that brings joy and peace. It seems that when we praise the Lord His angels are around. Although we cannot see them here, their presence does abound. For angels they do praise the Lord, that's what they love to do; And we can join the heavenly host in praising God, it's true. When you praise God it shows you know that He is in control; And that all things, they work for good to those who love Him so. And if all things He works for good, what have you got to lose By loving Him with your sweet praise?--a way God hopes you'll choose. So praise Him when all things are good and when all things are bad. It is a way that you can CHOOSE, a way that makes God glad. I can't explain it but you'll see God's power He'll release, To set you free within your soul and bring you inner peace. Just try it out next time you're sad about things that bring strife. You'll find that praise is like a wall that insulates your life. For Satan and his demons, they just hate to be around One who will offer praise to God when they are feeling down. This secret way I share with you is not a way you try With human mind to understand--the mind will say, "Oh, why? Oh, why's my life in such a mess, I cannot figure out." Just let that go and praise the Lord, "Praise to the Lord," just shout.
