RUN AND NOT GET WEARY

By "Rebekah" the Bride
***
(Isa.40:28-31; 30:18; 49:23; 64:4; Ps.27:14; 37:7;=20
Lam.3:25-26; Hab.2:3; Rom.8:25; 1 Pet.5:7)
***
The Bible says that Christians, those who've had the new birth,
can run and not get weary as they live here on earth.
It also says they can walk along and never faint.
This is a way of living God offers to each saint.
***
But what does that refer to, to walk, also to run?
We need to understand that it's not a physical one.
It's speaking of our life that we live on earth each day;
our daily "walk" as Christians, to "walk" and "run" God's way.
***
Now, just imagine living our Christian life each day,
and never getting weary when living life God's way.
Yes, never feeling loaded down with a heavy load;
not getting tired or burned out as we walk down life's road.
***
There is just one condition, one that we must fulfill,
if we would walk this grand way that's so much in God's will;
and that's to wait upon God, yes, waiting is the key.
To wait is something we do, yes, waiting patiently.
***
So many things we long for the Lord to do for us:
"Please save my spouse, please heal me, deliver me from lust.
Oh, let me bear fruit, please, Lord, a mess my life is in.
Oh, such a struggle life is, when will I victory win?"
***
God longs to answer these prayers to bring forth victory;
but He needs us to let Him do things His way, you see.
Sometimes we try to help God to bring these things about,
when helping only hinders the Lord, without a doubt.
***
So many things I've asked God if He would do for me,
but then I tried to help Him to do those things, you see;
and that made me so weary, so tired, don't you know?
"What could I do?" the Lord said,"You never did let go."
***
But waiting on your dear Lord to answer prayers for you,
means giving up control of the struggling you do
to bring about the answers to prayers you've offered Him.
Oh, letting go and waiting will bring the victory in.
***
To wait on God's not easy for we are so used to
taking control of things here-it's what we've learned to do.
To wait on God's a new way to learn that is so right;
for it makes life so easy to live, both day and night.
***
To wait on God to do things that we want done in us;
to answer prayers that we've made for others, it takes trust,
that God above is able to do things perfectly,
as we wait for the answers to come to you and me.
***
If we have looked for answers to prayers for, oh, so long;
and they're delayed in coming, we may think, What is wrong?
It may be God is waiting for us to wait on Him.
Control to God give over then He'll bring victory in.
***
Rise up with wings as eagles, your strength you can renew,
by waiting on your dear Lord who lives inside of you.
You'll "run" and not be weary, you'll "walk" and you'll not faint.
This restful way is offered to each and every saint.
