It is a River just for us in which we all can swim. Come to the waters, for the Lord invites you to come in. *** Into this River you can go and when the waters are Up to your ankles, then your knees, don't think you've gone too far. Then to the waist the waters come if further in you go. Now just dive in and take a swim and with the River flow. *** When I heard that I could go in this River that's so deep, I felt I'd just go in enough to cover up my feet; Or maybe to my knees but surely not up any more. I was afraid to go too deep-I stayed in near the shore. *** I felt my faith was, oh, so weak and that I wasn't bold. Not bold enough to go too deep-this is what I'd been told. I looked and saw my weaknesses and said, "How can I go=20 Into the River as I am and with that River flow?" *** And then one day I finally heard just what it really meant To swim in this great River and to just go where it went. The Lord, He changed my thinking when He told me what to do: "Just let Christ be your righteousness-the River will flood you." *** "Why, Lord, that's easy," then I said, "to simply trust that Christ Has made me righteous in Your sight, that He has paid the price. Thou I'm not bold and I'm so weak, You've done it all, I see. So in the River I can swim-it can flood over me." *** If you trust in your righteous works that you have tried to do, You will not in that River swim, you'll not let it flood you. You may be only in it to your ankles or your knees; Completely trust His righteousness and then, God, you will please. *** That River is a peaceful one in which we all can swim; And as you flow along with it, great victories you will win. And healing will the waters bring as they just flood your soul.
