This rest is so important That it should not be ignored. To miss out on this rest on earth Is something we should fear. No need to wait for heaven; We can have this rest while here. The book of Hebrews tells us Why God=92s children miss this rest. The answer, though it=92s simple, Is one you may not have guessed. To put it very simply,=20 There=92s one word that tells us why. That word is UNBELIEF, So now, does that to you apply? Do you believe Christ finished All the work that must be done To save your soul and keep you saved? That victory, He has won? Past, present, future=97all your sins, Do you believe they=92re gone? That as Christ hung upon the cross, It=92s Him God laid them on? Do you believe you=92re loved by God No matter what you do? And that He=92ll never leave you; Do you really know that=92s true? Do you believe you need not fear God=92s judgment, for you know That all your judgment you deserved Fell on Christ?=97yes, it=92s so! Do you believe Christ=92s righteousness, It has been given you? A righteousness not of yourself? Not based on what you do? Or are you still establishing Your own by your good works? Submitting not to Christ=92s alone? Then unbelief still lurks! Do you believe that God has made you A creation new? A flawless new creation Is what God now sees as you? And have you reckoned "adam" dead, Though he seems much alive? To see yourself "in adam" Causes unbelief to thrive. Do you believe that God=92s at peace With you forevermore? He made peace with you at the cross; Of this, are you real sure? Do you approach His throne of grace With boldness, for you know He really is at peace with you? The Bible says it=92s so. To enter rest, cease from your works, Is what the Scriptures say. Submit to what Christ=92s done for you, Yes, do this every day. Christ finished all the work for you That day at Calvary. "It=92s finished," our dear Savior cried. No work for you or me! No need to work to earn God=92s love, Acceptance or His peace. No need to build self righteousness; From that work there=92s release. Cease from those works or else you won=92t Find God=92s rest that remains. Relate to God through Christ alone, The way the Lord ordains. No need to work in God=92s kingdom By the sweat of your brow. THE REST THAT=20 REMAINS

There is a rest remaining
For the children of the Lord.
This rest is so important
