The message only had ten words but those ten words to me Have been a blessing ever since--they've helped to set me free. *** God said: "YOU RELATE TO PEOPLE THE WAY YOU RELATE TO ME." Those were the very words I heard, ten words that day, said He. It took a while for me to grasp, for me to fully know, What God meant when He said those words, words that would help me grow. *** Yes, over time I understood this message that God sent. He did expound on those ten words and this is how it went: "How you relate to people as you go through life each day, Reveals how you relate to Me," is what the Lord did say. *** To try and earn acceptance from our peers and others, too, By things we say and ways we act is showing that it's true That we are doing that to God, from Him we try to earn; And that, of course, cannot be done--oh, this we need to learn. *** Acceptance from the Lord's a gift, one that you must receive. Christ shed His blood so you could have acceptance, just believe That you're acceptable to God for Christ now lives in you. If you have let the Savior in you can be sure it's true. *** You need not fear to stand before the Lord on Judgment Day. If Christ lives in your heart, here's what you'll hear your Father say: "Rejection you need never fear, acceptance, it is free. You are acceptable in Christ, acceptable to Me." *** As we grow in this precious truth I think that we will see That we'll relate to people here on earth now differently. When we don't try to earn acceptance from God anymore, The need to earn it from our peers will fade away for sure. *** "If God be for us, who can be against us," Paul did say. Our God accepts us all the time, some people never may. Fear of rejection is a curse, a plague some suffer from. To know acceptance from our God will this fear overcome. *** So those ten words God spoke to me are powerful and true. Those words have done a work in me, I hope they will in you.
