If you base your relationship with God on what YOU do, you'll give the devil a good chance to have his way with you. * You should base your relationship with God on what He's done, because He laid your sins on Christ, He laid them on His Son. No longer is there any charge of sin against you filed, so now He is your Father and you are His precious child.=20 * If you think there is something that YOU really need to do so God will keep on having a relationship with you, you really are not basing your relationship with Him upon what Christ has done for you when He died for your sin. * This Father-child relationship is such a special one; It goes on for eternity, it's only just begun. It is a gift that you've received, one that you did not earn. The keeping of it's in His care--oh, this I hope you learn. * Since God has your relationship with Him in His good care, you'll never have to worry for He always will be there. It should be such an easy life to simply be God's son or daughter, yes, your Christian life should be an easy one. * If you base your relationship with God on what YOU do, then when you fail, you'll feel that your dear Lord is mad at you. God's peace toward you is not based on what you do, it's true; His peace toward you is because His Son has died for you. * If you think your relationship with God, it is okay, because you have behaved yourself the best you can each day, then, child of God, that means that you have taken the control of your relationship with God--you need to let that go! * This Father-child relationship that you have come into, to try and maintain it will be a heavy load for you. Oh, what a weight will lift from you when you give God control, and let Him be in charge of it--great freedom you will know. * When you base your relationship with God on what YOU do, it is a snare the fowler sets to catch you, it is true. To keep from getting caught in it, you really need to see that God maintains relationships He has with you and me. * In human-type relationships like you have with a friend, if you don't work to keep it strong, it might come to an end. But God's not like us humans, He's not like you and me. He'll make relationship with you last for eternity. * God made you so that He could have relationship with you.
