It's there inside those who love God, those who've received His Son. It is an inside refuge where from trouble you can run. *** It's God who is this place of rest, a Habitation strong; For God's made you His resting place and to Him you belong. God's kingdom is within you now, a kingdom filled with peace; So, by faith, practice living there where peace will never cease. *** It took six days for God to make the world and all therein; And then He rested from those works, God's rest then did begin. So God's at rest and He's in you--if you're His resting place; So enter in that place of rest within you--oh, what grace! *** When you dwell in that resting place you'll know your sins are gone; For God has laid them ALL on Christ, yes, every single wrong. You'll know your sins can't separate you from your God anymore; As you dwell in that place of rest, you'll know that truth for sure. *** To just enjoy this resting place, from your works you must cease. God rested from HIS works and so YOUR works you should release. The work to save your soul and keep you righteous in God's sight Has all been done by Jesus Christ--to work for that's not right. *** "Oh, spoil not My resting place," is what the Scriptures say; And unbelief is what can spoil it for you each day. Oh, just believe that God is there and that He'll never leave; So permanent, this Resident, oh, won't you just believe? *** God leadeth us beside the waters that are, oh, so still. It's good to have a place like that where we can go at will. The "hurricanes" of life might blow around us, but this rest Is like the eye of those big storms--a quiet place that's best. *** This peaceable habitation is a dwelling that is sure; In quiet resting places we can live forevermore. While still here dwelling on this earth, believers there can live; Because Christ died and rose again, a resting place to give. *** "There is a place of quiet rest," is how an old hymn goes; "A place where all is joy and peace," inside you that just flows. "A place where sin cannot molest, a place of comfort sweet. Near to the heart of God," a place for you and God to meet. *** God wants to rest in people if they'd only let Him in. He'd take up residence inside and cleanse them from all sin. Just think!
