I'm always welcome in this place, This respite from my daily pace. I know I'm loved when I'm in there; No strings attached-and that's so rare. Oh, to this place I long to go Each day while on this earth below. *** Don't you just love to be somewhere You're treated with respect and care? Like being with a special friend, Whose love for you just has no end? There is a loving atmosphere In this great place, and there's no fear; The love there drives the fear away. In this place I sure love to stay. *** This place is such a refuge sweet; A place where I can just retreat. In there's acceptance and there's peace; The peace in there just does not cease. An inner kingdom, you could say, This place I can go every day. Within God's people-there it is! The company that's there is His! *** Yes, in God's people, there inside, A place in which they can abide; For Christ is there-and He's that place! Available to us by grace. A refuge we can run into; A safe place just for me-and you. Prepared for us by God's design; This place is yours-and it is mine! *** To have this place in you-inside, This refuge where you can abide, It means you must be born again; You need to let the Savior in. Your mother gave you natural birth; Again-be born-right here on earth. A birth into God's family; Be born again-yes, spiritually. *** Christ made the way for this new birth By suffering right here on earth, When all our sins were laid on Him; Our punishment, He took for them. Forgiven now we all can be; God's made His peace with us, you see. Repent, believe, invite Christ in; And then you will be born again. *** You will then have that place inside; It's Christ!-that place for you to hide. When storms in life, they come your way, Christ is a safe place you can stay. No fear of terror in the night, Or fear of arrows in daylight. No fear, though pestilence is near; Noonday destruction gives no fear. *** God's kingdom is within you now; Remember that each day somehow. When times are good, don't stay away From this place, stay there come what may. You'll know you're righteous in this place; Christ's righteousness-not yours-by grace. And that's why you'll feel so at ease, For perfect righteousness God sees. *** Christ promises He'll always stay; This place-your Lord-won't go away. He'll wait so patiently for you To draw close to Him-oh, please do! He longs to have you drawing near, And when you do your heart will hear: "I love you so-eternally; I'm glad that you belong to Me!" *** If you draw near continually, This place is where you'll want to be. And if, perchance, you shy away, And don't draw near there every day, You'll find you'll miss Christ's presence sweet; And soon you'll just want to retreat, And by faith enter there once more. He'll welcome you again for sure. *** Keep God first in your thoughts each day; Its benefits are great, I'll say. You'll never go through life alone. Christ is a home you'll call your own. A home where you'll feel wanted there; Great fellowship with Him to share. With your soul, you'll know all is well.
