All gold and silver in this world Just cannot match its worth. There's NOTHING that's more precious, Nothing greater--ANYWHERE, Than what I am referring to; It's just beyond compare! *** The riches of a billionaire, A trillionaire, just can't Compare to this great treasure,=20 They would be more than scant. Such purity, such quality, In nothing else is found; But only in this valued thing. Its value does astound. *** So few are seeking this great treasure, They don't realize How valuable these riches are, But if they would be wise, They'd seek it first, they really would, It would be their main goal, To find this treasure, oh, so great; Then in would blessings roll. *** When Jesus hung upon the cross, Two thousand years ago, He took the sins of the whole world Upon Himself, you know. And, in exchange, He gives to us, To all who will believe, This precious treasure I speak of; One that all can receive. *** His righteousness, that's what it is! This treasure I speak of. "Their righteousness shall be of Me," God's gift to us--such love! And there is nothing like this gift, Oh, what a gift, indeed! To those who have been born again, This gift you have received. *** When God looks at believers now He sees this gift within. He sees the righteousness of Christ; God does not see our sin! Because of that we're welcome In His presence every day. This gift makes us acceptable To God, the Scriptures say! *** But, sad to say, there are some Christians Who don't realize The value of this precious gift That God to them supplies; And so they work to build their own By good things that they do. Yes, they form their own righteousness; That's shocking--but it's true! *** Or else they try to add onto The righteousness of God. Oh, what an awful thing to do! Those actions are so flawed. To build my own or think that I Can add my works to His, Is such an insult to our God! Oh, yes, it really is! *** Just think of what the Lord went through So we could righteous be, With His own righteousness, not ours, A precious treasure free. To think His Son hung on the cross To GIVE this gift to us; How awful when we trust our own, Yes, when our works we trust. *** Let's be like Paul--Apostle Paul-- And say, "May I be found, Not trusting my own righteous works, When my last day comes round." Our works for righteousness won't stand, When face to face with God; But righteousness of Christ in us Is what He will applaud. *** Oh, what a precious, precious gift, God's righteousness so free! Do you know just how rich you are?! Believer, do you see?! Wake up! There’s something that’s more = valuable
Than anything on earth.
All gold and silver in this world
Just cannot match its worth.
There’s NOTHING that’s more = precious,
Nothing greater--ANYWHERE,
Than what I am referring to;

To those who have been born again,
This gift you have received.

He sees this gift within.
He sees the righteousness of Christ;
God does not see our sin!
Because of that we’re welcome

But, sad to say, there are some Christians
Who don’t realize
