I'll be your servant, not your son, I'll work real hard for you." So humbled was this prodigal, hungry and starving, too. Before he even said those words the father hugged his son. He kissed him and he welcomed him, to meet him he had run. He paid no heed to his son's words but said, "Let's celebrate. My son was lost but now he's found!"-the fatted calf they ate. This son had squandered all his funds, he'd lived in a wild way. With harlots he'd kept company, he'd partied night and day. When he went broke a famine came, the only job he had Was feeding pigs and then he said, "I'll go home to my Dad." He felt unworthy, yes, he did, when he came home that day. Imagine how surprised he was to hear his father say: "Bring forth the robe, the ring, the shoes, the fatted calf, please = kill. Let's have some music, let us dance, we'll celebrate-we will! He was not worthy, that was true, he did not need to be. Blessings his Dad bestowed on him could not be earned, you see. "A servant-no!-I want a son, I want your company; A son to be with every day-I'm glad you're home with me!" The brother of the prodigal was sure not glad to see The celebration taking place, a jealous heart had he. "I've served you long, obeyed your will, no party have I had. No celebration just for me," he said unto his Dad. In other words, "I am worthy," that son really did say. "My brother badly misbehaved, should you bless him this way? I am worthy, my brother's not, you really are unfair. I've earned a party, he has not-for me you do not care!" A spiritual lesson's here for us, one we should really see. The blessing came unto the one who said, "I'm not worthy." And that was true, yet he got blessed with blessings he'd not earned. God's ways are not our ways at all-a lesson to be learned. The one who thought he was worthy did not get blessed at all. The one who said, "I'm not worthy," had blessings on him fall. We need to see we're not worthy, that we don't need to be; For we can't earn from our dear Lord His blessings-they are free! The Lamb is worthy, He's the One, the Lamb of God is He. Christ is God's Lamb who died to give His worthiness to me; And to all those who let Him come to live within their hearts. His worthiness He GIVES to us, yes, to us He imparts. You can't make yourself worthy by the way that you behave, Or by the work you do for God, it's by the Gift He gave. Christ-in-us is our worthiness, it's His and His alone. We need to = see we’re not=20 worthy, that we = don’t need to=20 be;

The Lamb is = worthy, He’s=20 the One, the Lamb of God = is=20 He.
Christ is = God’s Lamb who=20 died to give His = worthiness to=20 me;
And to all = those who let=20 Him come to live within = their=20 hearts.
His = worthiness He GIVES to=20 us, yes, to us He=20 imparts.
 
You = can’t make yourself=20 worthy by the way that = you=20 behave,
Or by the = work you do for=20 God, it’s by the = Gift He=20 gave.
