The Prince of Darkness, Satan, Is the one who does deceive. Our unbelief is what will keep us Blinded to what's true; And Light is what will help us see things From God's point of view. *** The sin of the whole human race, God laid it ALL on Christ. He took the punishment for that; Yes, Jesus paid the price. And now all people on this earth Need only just believe That Jesus died and rose again, And then the Lord receive. *** When we believe, then Prince of Darkness Can no longer keep Us in the dark, the Light has come, To wake us from our sleep. "The people who walked in the dark Have now seen a great Light," Is what the Bible says of Christ. The blind can now have sight! *** "Only believe," the Bible says; That's what you need to do. Repent of unbelief, And then believe Christ died for you. For then the Light will be in you; The darkness will be gone. And you can live in truth, not lies, In God's Light from now on. *** The main thing that the Light reveals Is that God loves you so; And that His love cannot be earned. It's given free, you know. While in the dark, you could not see That God's love's given free; A love that just must be received, Yes, unconditionally.=20 *** The Light reveals that God made peace With you at Calvary. The peace you've sought for, oh, so long Is offered to you free. Those in the dark have heard this lie: "God's mad at you, you know!" But in the Light you see the truth; Your peace will overflow. *** While in the dark you were afraid To face the Judgment Day. But in the Light you'll see what's true; With confidence you'll say: "Though I deserve God's judgment, Jesus took it all for me; So I no longer need to fear God's Judgment Day, you see. *** The Light of Christ will stay within, For God says He won't leave. You'll never perish, no, you won't; His promise, just believe. But still the Prince of Darkness Will attempt to fill your mind With doubts about God's words of truth, And lies of every kind. *** Don't struggle with the lies of darkness; Just bring in the Light. For Light will swallow up the dark; It will have to take flight. Remember all the truths of God That His Light did reveal.
