Maturity

By "Rebekah" the Bride

(2 Cor.10:7; Jn.7:24; 1 Sam.16:7; Isa.55:8,9; 53:6; 54:17(b); Jer.29:11; =
Rom.8:28;=20
Dan.3:10-30; 2 Kings 6:15-18; 2 Cor.5:21; Eph.1:17-20; 2:4-6; Rev.3:21)

Maturity is seeing things from our Lord's point of view,
Not judging by appearances as many of us do.
Things really are not always just the way that they appear;
So learn to see life through God's eyes, let God's ways become clear.

If we'd seen the Lord Jesus Christ nailed to the cross that day;
If we'd been there and seen him die, I know we'd surely say:
"How terrible and sad this is, where's God, why's He not here?"
But three days later Christ arose and made God's purpose clear.

The Father God was surely there though He was in disguise.
God seemed a million miles away but then came the surprise:
He'd really been there all along, laid our sins on His Son;
And then Christ Jesus rose again-salvation's work was done!

The Bible says if we love God then all things work for good;
The bad, the good, yes, both of them, let that be understood.
That means the bad that comes our way is not as it appears.
If we love God we'll see that, when the smoke of battle clears.

A battle came into my life that really looked so bad.
"This thing is not as it appears," God said, "so don't be sad.
Look through this situation, look beyond its dark facade;
And know I'm there with My good plan though now things look so hard.

Three boys refused to worship man, they worshiped just their Lord.
Into a furnace they were thrown and fire upon them roared.
But God was there in that "hot" trial protecting them, you see.
They came out safe, no longer bound, unharmed, victoriously.

Elisha faced a trial one day, he had maturity;
For he saw God there right away surrounding him, you see.
An army came to capture him, things weren't as they appeared.
Since God was there to rescue him Elisha never feared.

God sees you righteous in His sight if you're a child of His.
It's Christ who is your righteousness, HIS righteousness it is.
You can't go by appearances, sometimes you don't act right.
If you're mature you'll always say, "I'm righteous in God's sight."

We're seated in the heavenlies in Christ, yes, that is true;
And from that vantage point above we have God's point of view.
All those who see this way, by faith, will overcomers be;
And will see things as God sees them from places heavenly.

So practice seeing through God's eyes next time a trial comes round.
Seated in Christ in places high this point of view is found.
Maturity is what we'll have with spiritual eyes to see,
When we see things from God's viewpoint-now that's maturity!
