The Garden is where it began; That Eden couple from God ran. Fear took its toll, When they chose to control. "You'll be as gods," the devil said; And into bondage they were led. *** Fear cast out love, This love I'm speaking of. God's punishment is what all fear, And that is why we don't draw near. On Judgment Day, There is sin's price to pay, For we're all sinners in our soul; We need the Lord to make us whole. *** God loved the world; Love's banner He unfurled. He showed us all how much we're loved By leaving His home up above. Christ came to live, On earth, His life to give. For sinners all, the Savior died; "Forgive them!" from the cross He cried. *** No need to fear, Though Judgment Day is near. Our judgment Jesus took on Him, And His blood cleanses us from sin.
