It devastates a child of God if he believes that's true. To feel unloved by God takes peace and joy away from you. *** If bad things happen in your life you might be tempted to Think, if God loved you this would not be happening to you. But should you be determining how much the Lord loves you By looking at what's happening-is that the thing to do? *** There's really only one sure way to know that God loves you, And that's to really understand what Jesus Christ went through. As He hung there upon the cross, your punishment He took; And so to know God's love for you at His death you must look. *** If bad things come into your life you need to just believe That God loves you, because of Christ, that His love did not leave. If you think God's stopped loving you because things have gone wrong, You'll feel defeated in your life and your faith won't be strong. *** Some trials might come to you because bad choices you have made, But that does not mean that God's love for you begins to fade. His love is unconditional, it never goes away. He loves you even though you might from His will go astray. *** The son who was a prodigal made choices that were bad. His father kept on loving him, great love for him he had. When he came home a look of love was on his father's face. The wrong things he had done could not his father's love erase. *** Just trust God's love no matter what is happening to you. Though things might be so very bad, oh, just believe it's true, That you are loved with perfect love, a love that has no end. This love will bring you through all trials-on that you can depend. *** The Bible says that many waters and the floods around, They cannot quench or drown God's love-this is what I have found. The "many waters" and the "floods" are trials that come our way; But God's love can withstand them all, is what the Scriptures say. *** The love of God is very broad, it's long and deep and high. You should be rooted in His love so you will know just why God's love will never go from you, no matter come what may; And knowing that will strengthen you and help you every day. *** The love of God is shed abroad inside believers' hearts. It's by the Spirit that it's shed and never from us parts.
