He clothes the lily, so He'll do the same for you and me. *** We've all been taught that Jesus meant He'd water and He'd feed Our bodies, and He'd clothe them, too, the physical things we need. That's true, but there's a deeper meaning here for us to see: He meant He'd water, feed and clothe the soul of you and me. *** So many Christians struggle, as their souls, they try to feed; By reading scripture every day, they try to meet that need. They take control of this great task and feel it's up to them To make themselves grow in the Lord-they don't depend on Him. *** When Jesus said, God feeds the birds, though they don't reap or sow, He meant that birds depend on God to feed them, don't you know? And that's the way God wants His children on this earth to be. They need to let their Heavenly Father feed them spiritually. *** Now, you could read the Bible from beginning to the end To try real hard to feed yourself and not on God depend. But revelation is the only thing that feeds your soul; And God's the only One who gives it-this you need to know. *** So many Christians try to quench the thirst that's in their soul. They try to do it all themselves, the watering, they control. But God's the only One who quenches thirst within a soul. He springs up in us like a well of water, don't you know? *** Some Christians try to clothe their souls, they toil and they spin To weave the clothing for themselves-it's fig leaves made by them. But God has clothing for our soul, Christ's righteousness it's called. For that, we must depend on God, we cannot help at all. *** So am I saying, "Just don't read the Bible anymore"? Of course not, but there is one thing of which we should be sure: It is the Father's job to feed and water as we read; We must depend on Him for revelation that will feed. *** So on the Lord we must depend for all that our souls need; We need to let Him water us, to clothe us and to feed. Be like the birds and let God feed and water your dear soul. Depend upon Christ's righteousness, let God be in control. *** If you will let God water, feed and clothe your precious soul, Then He will be the One, not you, who causes you to grow. You'll spiritually be healthy and you'll not anxious be, Because you've given God control of your growth, don't you see? *** And here's an even deeper secret that we need to see: It's if we've let God water, feed and clothe us spiritually, Then He will do the same thing for our needs materially; It is a spiritual law that works just automatically. *** So on the Lord you must depend for spiritual things you need; The clothing and the water and the food on which you feed. Material needs, they will be met, oh, please, believe it's true. He meant He’d water, feed and clothe the soul = of you and=20 me.

We must depend on Him for revelation that will = feed.
