Oh, come unto Him and He will give you rest; Lord Jesus will show you a life that is best. *** If you are so tired from carrying life's load, And so burdened down as you travel this road, This great invitation is offered to you; Oh, come, let Christ show you a way that is new. *** "Now, come, learn of Me," Jesus says to us all; And if we are listening we will hear His call. Just pay close attention, He's calling today; And He wants to show us a much better way. *** "Oh, just learn of Me," Jesus said, "come and rest; For I'm meek and lowly and you will be blessed. Take My yoke upon you and then learn of Me; Then rest will come into your life, you will see." *** Just learning of Jesus, the secret is there, To finding a life that's not burdened with care. Discover a life like you never have known; A rest you can enter, one you will be shown. *** If you learn of Jesus you'll find that He took ALL your sins upon Him, it says in God's Book. The sea of forgetfulness, God threw them in; So He will no longer remember your sin. *** Christ took all our sins so that we could be made The righteousness of God, His blood for that paid. Oh, thank You, dear Jesus, that all who believe, Salvation and righteousness they can receive. *** If you learn of Jesus you'll see He's made you Acceptable to God, oh, yes, it is true. No working so hard God's acceptance to win; It's Jesus who won it for you, just thank Him. *** God's wrath we deserve but Christ won peace for us; And peace is a gift from the Lord, oh, please trust. No earning, deserving, this gift that is free; And all because Jesus died on Calvary. *** Has sin and unrighteousness burdened you down? Then know that in Jesus relief can be found. He'll lift it and give you a burden that's light; The "burden" of peace can be yours day and night. *** Oh, labor to enter that rest every day. Believing's the labor, the Bible does say. Just put faith in all that Christ has done for you, For that is the work that He wants you to do. *** So learning of Jesus, of all He has done, For all of humanity under the sun, And really believing it will bring us rest; A new way of living, a way that is best. *** If you have been on a long spiritual quest, And still in your soul you don't have any rest, Then just learn of Jesus, please, make that your goal. No earning, deserving, this gift that is free;
And all because Jesus died on Calvary.
