I asked the Lord for healing, And then He said to me: *** "My child, I'm longing to heal you, But there's one thing you must do: Stop trying so hard to be righteous, And healing will come to you." *** Salvation, it is a garment, And it's a righteous robe. The Lord has placed it upon you, So with it you are clothed. *** A filthy rag is what God calls The righteousness WE make, So lay aside all your good works; And then Christ's righteousness take. *** So don't work hard to be righteous By all the good things you've done.
