Too long have God's people been bound up; It's time for them to be set free. The season for healing has come now; That healing's for you and for me. *** One day I attended a funeral; A friend died, a woman named Grace. Disease held her body in bondage, For years, such a really sad case. God said, "My dear Grace is with Me now; From bondage at last she is free. And, likewise, My grace that's been bound up On earth, has been unbound by Me. *** Yes, grace has been unbound and freed now; It's been in a bondage so strong. The church has been eaten by locusts; The wilderness journey's been long. But there is an exodus coming, And grace will set God's people free To exit from bondage and find rest. God says, "It's a gift sent by Me." *** The truth of God's grace has been hidden By traditions and teachings of men; But God's grace will help Christ's dear Bride to Come back to her First Love, and then She'll live in the light not in darkness, And walk in a way that is new. God's mercy and grace will bring healing, And lead her in ways that are true. *** The law that came to us by Moses, Christ Jesus the Lord did fulfill; So we're under grace not the law now. To walk in God's grace is His will. So many have been held in bondage, Relating by law to the Lord; But they'll be released from the law soon, When God's grace upon them is poured. *** God's grace will reveal to His people That He's not remembering their sin. Yes, sin's been forgiven, they're all gone; Christ's blood gave us cleansing from them. They'll know they are righteous in God's sight, And that new in Christ they've been made. They'll humble themselves and thank God for A gift for which Jesus has paid. *** No more will Christ's Bride try to earn from The Lord as some did in the past. No longer will she be afraid that Her union with God might not last. She'll no longer feel she's rejected; She'll know God accepts her always. God's love, she'll see, has no conditions; That His love is hers all her days. *** God's peace that does pass understanding, Will fall on Christ's Bride like a dove. Unmerited peace will rest on her; Unearned, yes, a gift from above. She'll know that it's not good behavior That's earned for her this precious peace; But Christ on the cross earned it for her, And that this gift never will cease. *** God's grace will reveal to His children: Relationship is number one. Unlike Martha, serving won't be first, But union with Jesus the Son. For we are the Bride for the Bridegroom, And He longs for us to come near. Our service will be so much better, When this message to us is clear. *** Some children of God have been wounded In childhood and later in life; The locusts have eaten away at These children through sorrow and strife. But grace to these wounds will bring healing, Yes, healing through God's precious love. Their lives renovated and restored By grace that's released from above. *** God's grace that His people have longed for, This grace of unlimited supply, Will flood like a river upon us, Like rain pouring down from the sky.
