GOD IS A HABITATION

By "Rebekah" the Bride

(Ps.27:1-5; 61:3; 71:3; 91:2,9; Acts 3:19; 17:28
1 Jn.4:16-19; 54:17; S.of S.2:3; Jn.1:29; 15:5=20
Isa.32:18; Eph.1:6; Jam.4:7; 2 Cor.3:18)=20

***
God is a house to live in;
A fortress big and strong;
A tower and a refuge;
A place where we belong.
He is a habitation
To live in every day;
A place to stay forever,
One that won't go away.
***
The Bible says that, in God,
We live and move around.
In Him we have our being;
He's right there to be found.
There are so few who see this;
In darkness many are.
Though God's a habitation,
To some He is afar.
***
King David, in the Bible,
Had one desire true;
One that he did seek after,
It's what he longed to do.
And that was that he might dwell
Forever in God's house,
To there behold God's beauty;
To see His Lord up close.
***
In that house there's salvation,
In that house there is light;
And there is strength there also
For us each day and night.
Nothing to fear in that house;
There's perfect love inside.
That love is a protection,
A safe place we can hide.
***
A peaceful habitation,
Is God--a peaceful place.
The fruit of peace that's in there
Is so sweet to the taste.
Sit down under God's shadow;
Do that with great delight.
In Him, our habitation,
We'll be fed day and night.
***
In there, you'll know that your sin
Has all been blotted out.
In there, you'll be accepted;
You'll know that without doubt.
In there, you'll know you're righteous,
With God's own righteousness.
In there, your life will bear fruit;
And you, He'll really bless.
***
Our God is omnipresent,
He's everywhere around;
But yet so many have not
This habitation found.
The only thing that keeps one
From entering this place
Is unbelief and darkness,
Which veils the human race.
***
This house that we can live in
May not seem real to you.
Sin can keep us from seeing
This habitation true.
But God let Jesus die to
Take all that sin away,
So in that habitation,
Believers all can stay.
***
Oh, just be like King David;
Give top priority
To dwelling in your dear Lord,
This habitation free.
It's there you'll be when trouble
Comes knocking at your door;
But in that habitation,
You'll feel safe and secure.
***
Draw near to God, the word says,
And He'll draw near to you.
Ask God for His directions;
He'll give them, it is true.
When in this habitation,
Behold your Lord's dear face;
Then you'll reflect His glory
Out to the human race.
***
Oh, what a house to live in,
This fortress big and strong;
This tower and this refuge,
Where we find we belong.
Oh, what a habitation
Is our God every day,
Where we're secure forever,
No matter, come what may.
