"Ye must be born again," said Christ and you'll be born anew, If you receive God's gift of peace that He offers to you. *** The Bible says that we're all sinners, for we all have sinned; And we deserve God's punishment, yet, Christ took that on Him. He was chastised upon the cross so we could have this peace. This peace is permanent, you know, yes, it will never cease. *** No punishment is left for us, Christ took it all on Him. Past, present, future--all of them, on Him was laid our sin. No condemnation, judgment, wrath is left for us to bear; Instead, there's peace in place of wrath--oh, how our God does care! *** God promises He'll never take this peace away from you. Once you receive Christ, it is yours, oh, just believe it's true. God's peace toward you is not based on what you do or say; It's based upon Christ's death for you on Crucifixion Day. *** This peace God gives, this gift of peace, a gift that is so good, It "passeth understanding," yes, it can't be understood. It makes no sense to have peace while in circumstances bad; And, yet, it's in the midst of them that this peace can be had. *** It's not our good behavior that has made our God appeased. We can't earn peace by what we do to try to keep God pleased. The blood of Christ is what made God appeased with us, you see; Not what we do or how we act--remember: peace is free! *** Our God is not our enemy, He's our best Friend, you know. He's for us, not against us--in this truth we should grow. Yes, God is always on our side, for us, He wants what's best. He'll always be at peace with us, so in His peace just rest. *** The more you get to know your Lord, the more at peace you'll be. Just get acquainted with your God, then you'll begin to see That good will come into your life, the Bible says it's so. And you won't fear God's punishment, that fear will have to go. *** The peace of God is like a River that floods o'er your soul. This peace that passes understanding is what makes you whole. The River flows down over you from God's great throne above; And comes to flood your heart with peace, descending like a dove. *** This peace we Christians have on earth, the world just does not know. They say, "Peace" when there is no peace, as they run to and fro.
