The fruit came in when Jesus did; He brought it in with Him. It is mature, it is full grown; It does not grow in us. We grow in it, this fruit of God. In this we need to trust. *** This fruit of God is listed in Galatians, chapter five. There's love and joy and peace and faith, A faith that is alive; Then goodness, kindness, self-control, Patience, humility. It's everything that our lives need, And given to us free. *** All Christians have this fruit in them, The Spirit's fruit, you see; And on their lives it can appear, Like apples on a tree. But having fruit show up upon The lives of you and me, Is something we don't work to do; God does it for us free. *** So many Christians struggle hard To get this fruit to show. They want to be more loving, kind, And in this fruit to grow. They need to see they can't work hard This fruit to demonstrate; Instead, they need to learn To with the Lord cooperate. *** How can we each cooperate With God so fruit will show? This fruit we'd love to have shine forth, In which we'd like to grow? Well, here's the secret: Just spend time with your Lord every day; Alone with Him, beholding Him. To bear fruit, that's the way. *** The more time that you spend with God, The more His fruit will be Upon the branches of your life For all around to see. The more you put your thoughts on God, The more like Him you'll grow. What you behold, you will become; The fruit will start to show. *** Some Christians struggle all the time With their carnality. The more they do, the worse they get; There's just one remedy: And that's to be alone with God, Under His shadow sit. His fruit will be so sweet to taste As you partake of it. *** The Lord says, "Just draw near to Me, And I'll draw near to you"; And if He's near, then you can know His fruit will be there, too. You'll then become just like the One You're choosing to draw near. The fruit of love, the Spirit's love, Will chase away your fear. *** If anger is a problem=20 And it's overwhelming you, Just being in God's presence Is your remedy, it's true. The anger may not go away From you just overnight, But be persistent, be with God; Soon anger will take flight. *** Oh, just take time to be with God, His company to keep. Each night just put your thoughts on Him As you fall off to sleep. Be thinking of Him all day long, At work or at your play. God's fruit will show up in your life; You'll see it more each day. *** You may be a believer Who has struggled many years, To change your bad behavior, Your impatience and your fears. His company to keep.
Each night just put your thoughts on Him
As you fall off to sleep.
Be thinking of Him all day long,
At work or at your play.
God’s fruit will show up in your life;
You’ll see it more each day.

You may be a believer

To change your bad behavior,
Your impatience and your fears.
This answer may seem simple,
But it is the only one
