This fear's as old as time itself, it's been around so long; And it can devastate our lives and cause things to go wrong. *** How did this fear originate, where did this fear come from? And how can we be freed from it, can it be overcome? Let's look into the word of God to see what God does say, To find out where this fear comes from and what takes it away. *** Let's go back where it all began, to Eden, where we'll see The couple in the Garden who with Satan did agree. God said, "Of one tree do not eat for you'll die if you do." The devil led them to believe that God's word was not true. *** And, as you know, the couple ate and found out God was right; For spiritual death came on their lives that blocked out God's pure = light. God's light had covered them before--God consciousness they had. Now they were conscious of themselves, not God, and that was sad. *** Self consciousness gave them a need to put a covering on; So fig leaf coverings they each made--that clothing they did don. For they feared such rejection now from God--each other, too. Because the dark pushed out God's light, fear of rejection grew. *** God spoke to them and when they heard His voice they ran and hid, For they feared His rejection now because of what they did. Before they sinned there was no fear when they heard their Lord's voice. Believing Satan's lie turned out to be a foolish choice. *** Fear of rejection's been around since that time long ago. All people suffer from this plague, oh, this I'm sure you know. But God who is so merciful has made a way that we Can be healed from this awful plague, yes, God can set us free. *** God sent His Son to set us free, Christ left His heavenly place, To die upon a wooden cross for the whole human race. Yes, God laid all our sins on Christ, that couple's--and ours, too. No need to fear rejection now if you believe that's true. *** Those phony coverings, we don't need, ones fashioned by our hand. Now Christ is our true covering, so we can really stand Right in the presence of the Lord without rejection-fear. If Jesus lives within your heart, don't hide from God--draw near. *** Rejection-fear; self-consciousness; these things can plague our life, Just as they plagued that couple's lives and caused them so much strife. They cause us to put on facades so we'll accepted be By people who surround our lives--most do this constantly. *** To fear rejection from your peers is just an outward sign That you fear God's rejection, too, so what you need to find Is that great truth that sets you free from this rejection-fear: "If God be for us, who can be against us"--do you hear? *** Yes, Christ is the true covering that keeps away those fears; Fears of rejection from our God and also from our peers. Now you can have such confidence--God's not rejecting you! And it is a "rejection-fear" that does upon us = come.
This fear’s as old as time itself, it’s = been around so=20 long;
And it can devastate our lives and cause things to = go=20 wrong.

How did this fear originate, where did this fear = come=20 from?
And how can we be freed from it, can it be = overcome?
Let’s look into the word of God to see what = God does=20 say,
