Draw near to God and He will draw so very near to you.

If you would hear what God would say, that’s what you need to do.

One word from God can set you free from anger, fear or strife.

There’s power in His words to you, they can transform your life.

There is a song I like that goes, "If you want me to be

Closer to you," the song, it says, "Get closer (then) to me."

That is exactly what the Lord is saying to His Bride.

Those are the words for years and years the Lord has to her cried.

Now, if the Lord lives in your heart, no closer can you be;

Your spirit has been wed to His for all eternity.

But still, by faith, you must draw near to Christ inside of you.

It gives Him opportunity transforming work to do.

So many Christians run from God, by faith, they don’t draw near,

Because they think what He will say will cause their hearts to fear.

They think He wants to tell them all the things they’re doing wrong,

When this is what He wants to say: "It’s for you that I long."

There are so many voices in this world, they’re all around,

That have no power to change our lives, though great those words might sound.

God’s voice has power to change our lives, so we need to draw near.

If we don’t draw real close to Him, His voice we might not hear.

But if we draw real close to God on each and every day,

We’ll hear His still small voice inside and that can be the way

God changes us and sets us free from sins that drag us down.

The power to change a life for good through His words can be found.

So practice drawing near to God, oh, practice every day.

God will transform your life for you, if you will near Him stay.

Live in His presence all the time in everything you do.

Draw near to God, draw near to Him, and He’ll draw near to you.
