***
Let go of the old so the new can come in.
Let go of your hold so the change can begin.
Let go of control so the victory you’ll win.
Oh, please, let go of the old.
***
Let go of your trying to patch up the old.
Let go so the NEW YOU can start to unfold.
Let go, just be willing to give up your hold.
Oh, please, let go of the old.
***
Let go of your image, the one built by you.
Let go of your covering of fig leaves, please do.
Let go so Christ’s image can shine forth so new.
Oh, please, let go of the old.
***
Let go of self righteousness that’s built by you.
Let go, you’re not righteous by things that you do.
Let go for you’re righteous in Christ, it is true.
Oh, please, let go of the old.
***
Let go of your fears, let God’s love take their place.
Let go and your fears you will not have to face.
Let go, good advice for a great Christian race.
Oh, please, let go of the old.
***
Let go of your worries, let peace rule instead.
Let go, then you’ll say, "Yes, my worries have fled."
Let go, peace will rule, that’s what my Bible said.
Oh, please, let go of the old.
***
Let go of condemning yourself, oh, please do.
Let go for Christ took condemnation for you.
Let go, use your faith, you’ve a nature that’s new.
Oh, please, let go of the old.
***
Let go of the law for God’s grace is for you.
Let go of the old wine and just drink the new.
Let go and embrace it, be one of the few.
Oh, please, let go of the old.
***
Let go of your efforts to make yourself grow.
Let go, do not toil and spin here below.
Let go, you can be like the lily, you know.
Oh, please, let go of the old.
***
Let go and just trust that your needs God will meet.
Let go and don’t worry about what you’ll eat.
Let go, He’ll provide for your drink and your meat.
Oh, please, let go of the old.
***
Let go of your husband, let go of your wife.
Let go of control you might have in their life.
Let go of this thing that can cause so much strife.
Oh, please, let go of the old.
***
Let go of your plans that you have for the day.
Let go and be willing to just go God’s way.
Let go and just go with the flow, come what may.
Oh, please, let go of the old.
***
Let go, you’ve got free will, God won’t force you to.
Let go, He respects your free will and mine, too.
Let go of the old . . . THEN . . . He’ll bring forth the new.
Oh, please, let go of the old.
***
Let go of the old so the new can come out.
Let go, set God free to bring changes about.
Let go, "Hallelujah!" with victory you’ll shout:
"Oh, I’ve let go of the old!"
***
Let go, lose your life so that LIFE you might find.
Let go, make a choice, leave the old life behind.
Let go, choose the new, it’s a wonderful kind.
Oh, please, let go of the old.
***
Let go, then you’ll find this is what you will say:
"Let go! That’s what I should have done yesterday!
Let go, now I see it’s for me the best way.
Oh, I’m so glad I let go!"
