THE SIGN OF THE DOVE

Sometime ago some people were sharing the Bread of Life messages in a city neighborhood. One of the girls in the group had a camera with her and decided to take a picture of what they were doing. No one planned this photo session; all she wanted was a picture to remind her of the joy we have when we share the gospel.

She did not see it when she was taking the photograph, but when she got it developed, it showed what appeared to be a pure white dove in the air above the people. She quickly showed it to the others in the group; they all were excited and astounded. One of the men got a copy of the picture and mailed it to me. When I opened the morning's mail and saw the white dove, I got goose bumps; it was as if something powerful had hit me.

To me the sight of that dove is awesome; I can't tell if it's a real bird, a cloud or a vision. It sure looks like a vision to me but if really doesn't matter even if it's only a live white pigeon, because for it to be right over those people as the Bread of Life messages were being served, just at the instant of the click of the girl's camera, is to me an encouraging sign to keep serving the Lord's Bread as He leads!

I wrote back to the man who sent the picture to me and asked him if I could get the original photograph. He sent it to me and we used it to print up a bunch of 8"x 10" pictures with a caption. If you write or e-mail, we'll be glad to send you one while the supply lasts.
