There are many "religions in the world. We are often asked the difference between Christianity and the other religions. The answer is this . . . there may be no difference; for if we have made Christianity into a religion, then it is not what Jesus came to give the world. Jesus came to give men a relationship with God. If we make His teachings into a complicated set of rules to follow and thereby earn God's favor, we have robbed His teaching and His sacrifice of their true meaning and have made them into just another one of the many "religions" of the world.

I have often said, "Religion is man's attempt to reach God; but Jesus Christ is God's attempt to reach men."

When people say, "What do you mean?" it is rather difficult to put into words. I think perhaps the next five pictures may explain more than a lengthy sermon.
